Highly photoluminescent copper carbene complexes based on prompt rather than delayed fluorescence
Linear two-coordinate copper complexes of cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (CAAC)CuX (X = halide) show photoluminescence with solid-state quantum yields of up to 96%; in contrast to previously reported Cu photoemitters the emission is independent of temperature over the range T = 4–300 K and occurs very efficiently by prompt rather than delayed fluorescence, with lifetimes in the subnanosecond range.

متن کاملHighly efficient blue-green delayed fluorescence from copper(I) thiolate complexes: luminescence color alteration by orientation change of the aryl ring.
Highly emissive three-coordinate thiolate copper(I) complexes are synthesized and characterized. The Cu(I) complexes emit intense blue-green delayed fluorescence with high photoluminescence quantum yields of approximately 1.0 at both 293 K and 77 K in the solid state, whereas orange emission at 293 K in solution is observed.
متن کاملStructural diversity of copper(I)-N-heterocyclic carbene complexes; ligand tuning facilitates isolation of the first structurally characterised copper(I)-NHC containing a copper(I)-alkene interaction.
The preparation of a series of imidazolium salts bearing N-allyl substituents, and a range of substituents on the second nitrogen atom that have varying electronic and steric properties, is reported. The ligands have been coordinated to a copper(I) centre and the resulting copper(I)-NHC (NHC=N-heterocyclic carbene) complexes have been thoroughly examined, both in solution and in the solid-state...
متن کاملBi- and trinuclear copper(I) complexes of 1,2,3-triazole-tethered NHC ligands: synthesis, structure, and catalytic properties
A series of copper complexes (3-6) stabilized by 1,2,3-triazole-tethered N-heterocyclic carbene ligands have been prepared via simple reaction of imidazolium salts with copper powder in good yields. The structures of bi- and trinuclear copper complexes were fully characterized by NMR, elemental analysis (EA), and X-ray crystallography. In particular, [Cu2(L2)2](PF6)2 (3) and [Cu2(L3)2](PF6)2 (4...
